Xbox 2 To Be Released Q4 2005

Eurogamer claims that the next generation Xbox (codenamed "Xenon" and "Xbox Next") will be released in Q4 of this year following its announcement at E3. The article also claims that Microsoft may offer developers a peek at the Game Developer's Conference next month, though that's not been confirmed by anyone. This news represents a dilemma for me, since I just recently found out that my trusty Xbox is effectively dead. According to the folks at Xboxdoctor it needs a new hard drive and motherboard to the tune of $170...not worth fixing. So the question is this: should I wait for the new Xbox (and save my money) or buy a refurbished machine and hope it holds together until Christmas? Decisions, decisions!
